José Félix Sanabria Espíndola, aged 55, passed away on Wednesday afternoon (17), three days after being involved in an accident on a rural road in Bella Vista do Norte, a Paraguayan district bordering Bela Vista, 324 kilometers from Campo Grande. The man was a passenger in a Kingstar pickup truck that overturned at the location. The vehicle’s driver died instantly.
Jose’s niece informed the police of his death. In her account, she stated that the man was a resident of Bela Vista and had gone to visit relatives in Paraguay, but the vehicle overturned on the road when one of the tires burst. The victim was assisted by local residents to a hospital in the city and then transferred to Capital’s Santa Casa.
In yesterday afternoon, Jose unfortunately succumbed to his injuries and passed away at the hospital around 5:45pm. The case was reported at the Cepol (Pronto Community Care Police Station) as a death to be clarified.
Accident – The accident occurred late in the afternoon on January 14th. At the time, the vehicle was being driven by the Brazilian entrepreneur Tomáz Campuzano, 66 years old. He passed away before help arrived. The pickup truck also carried Jose and the 66-year-old Paraguayan, Eugênio Fleitas Esquivel.
Tomás was thrown from the vehicle and the other two were assisted and taken for medical treatment in Bela Vista.
